There are many more optional accessories for the Nintendo 64, but the two main ones are the rumble pak and gameshark. The rumble pak is inserted into any controller and will shake during game play.

It adds some extra realism, but isn't anything special. The gameshark allows you to "cheat" in games by entering certain codes. You can walk through walls, be invincible, and have unlimited ammo in certain games. It can be a fun addition, but isn't required by any means.
